DomJOI v0.8 Released! Changelog

Howdy,

This is a short update of the game. During this development cycle, I was on vacation with my family and did not have much time to work on the game.

The first part of this development cycle was related to marketing, community building, and getting feedback. The f95zone community is amazing, sometimes harsh, but writing long paragraphs about what they want in the game is a huge inspiration and I want to acknowledge the great input I get for the game. Now with a developer badge, my game thread, and more significant traction, I see a tremendous increase in downloads and game positioning.

[PERSONAL] On a side note, I have to admit that if the monetization of the game is not good, I will probably have to balance things out. Right now the main problem with working on the game is that I have normal human responsibilities (family, mortgage, and a job I love) and the game provides me with an income that is less than 15 minutes of my work when I’m freelancing.

Going back to the development, the following tasks have been completed:

• Get game on F95Zone
• Get developer badge
• [Problem with Linux. -> I finally found out that many people cannot start the game because Unreal 5.2 needs 4 GiB of vRAM on a graphics card :/
• [Feedback] Collecting feedback after v0.7 -> There is a lot and a lot that I have to do with this feedback :)
• Choose the hairstyle -> You can choose from two (I will add more in the future).
• Choose the Hair Color -> If you don’t like the colors please give me feedback, I’m quite active on Discord.
• Check Kink Positions -> Fix another bug with positioning kink not being used
• ASMR SCENE -> A new type of event, currently populated with Pixie Willow moans, sounds, slurps, kisses, etc :). It required a lot of coding and changing the sound mechanics in the game. This feature was requested several times and I’m very happy to have it in the game

I also started several tasks that had some work done, but since they are not finished, they are not included in this version:

• Correct facial expressions with voice [I had to record a lot of them and then edit them, it is a tedious job that will take at least 3-4 days just to do that]. The custom animations are time-consuming and bitchy.
• Switching from third person to first person narrative. Small parts of the game are already migrated. This means that in the future instead of “Your {DOMNAME} wants you to stroke your cock” there will be tasks like “Stroke your cock my {SUBNAME}” etc. I invested a lot in the naming system and schematics, so I want to find expressions to keep more tasks with names.
• New game modes [begging, her choice, etc] I understand that a short session might not be enough ;).
• I f****d up the post-ending scene that I trashed a few days ago because I was so frustrated debugging it. There was a lot of spaghetti code with timers that did not work as expected. I have a better idea of how to do this in the future.

The upcoming goals for V0.9 (sorted by priority):

• Feedback from Patreon subscribers:
  • Handjob animation
  • CBT animations
  • Basically dick hero events
• Finish facial expressions and voice acting
• Finish the game mode
• Any other tasks I can finish in 6 weeks
